Elementary Literacy’s holiday fundraising kicks off on Giving Tuesday, which falls this year on November 30th. Giving Tuesday is a “global generosity movement unleashing the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and the world”. The day, always the Tuesday following American Thanksgiving and Black Friday, began in the United States as a campaign to encourage shoppers to consider charities as well as great deals.
For the first time ever, Elementary Literacy presents our Holiday Gift Guide: 12 days of literacy magic.
The Gift Guide contains 12 gift options, allowing the donor to choose a specific cause dear to them or to the recipient of the gift. With each donation, a certificate is sent virtually or by mail, addressed to the chosen gift recipient (or yourself!), which details the specific impact of the donation to children in their community.
This holiday season, instead of a physical item, present a loved one with a donation in their name toward books, headphones, technology, continued development of our reading intervention programs, all of which allow Elementary Literacy continue to unlock students’ potential in school and in life.
